A new ClusterXchange (CXC) will take place in Finland, from the 13th to the 15th of September during Helsinki Design Week.
The programme will focus on circularity of textiles, exchange of knowledge and networking with Finland’s most innovative textile companies and research organizations. The delegation will get na understanding of circular economy in a Finnish context and gain knowledge about circular design principles and practices within the textile industry.
The programme will include company visits to Marimekko, the well-known Finnish design fashion brand as well as visiting Aalto University, the leading design & research university of Finland. Moreover, a site visit to the recycling plant Rester will take place in the city of Paimio two hours outside of Helsinki. Additionally, the delegation will visit VTT Research Centre and also get introduced to Ioncell and Infinited Fiber Company both chemical recycling technologies for textiles. During the visit Helsinki Design Week will take place and it will be possible to meet some of Finland’s leading design companies. A networking session at Business Finland will become a fundament for new possible partnerships between Finland, Spain, Denmark, Bulgaria, and Rumania.

CLOTH project – CLuster Alliance fOr the Transition to green and digital fasHion – is a new alliance aiming to create a favorable ecosystem of relevant stakeholders, from a cross-sectoral perspective, promoting a greener, smarter and more competitive and innovative European Fashion industry.
The CLOTH project is an integrated cross-sectoral partnership with 5 partners from 5 European countries (Spain, Bulgaria, Romania, Denmark and France) working on different value chains: Fashion and Textile, circular economy, creative industry and Digital.
During the EU supported CLOTH Project will be organized minimum 100 short-term exchanges between targeted members of clusters located in other countries.
